2000 - Today
KOCKUMS become part of BIRN Group, one of Europe’s leading moulding companies. Today KOCKUM MASKIN AB is a leading manufacturer of machined castings in Scandinavia, primarily servicing customers in the automotive sector, as well as a dedicated development partner that can handle the entire production process – from design to delivery.

Processing work
The management of the processing department buys out Kockums Maskin AB. Castings still form the major part of the processing work.

1988-1993
Kockums Maskin AB
Intermet International US owns Kockums Gjuteri AB. The foundry is closed down in 1991 but production continues as Kockums Maskin AB.

Owned by Volvo
Kockums Gjuteri AB is owned by Volvo.

We have 2,000 workers and become the dominant employer in Kallinge and Ronneby.
